Upon Arrival


Upon arrival, client is escorted by our Guest Relations staff to the admission desk to open a file. Our staff are always ready to provide any kind of service and information requested.

How to Book an Appointment


There is two ways to book an appointment, by phone or personally.

By phone client can book an appointment to reserve an appointment.

Client can come in personally to the reception and pay the registration fee to confirm her appointment

Civil Id or any kind of identification is required to open a file.

Out Client : Requires any kind of identification. Preferably civil ID. If client has insurance, then insurance card is required also.

In-Client : The admission process takes place through two points:

Inclient Reception : Receives clients' referrals from consultants (either the hospital own consultants/or outside independent private consultants) to arrange for admitting the client to the hospital to conduct a procedure, delivery,etc..

In general the admission process through the inclient reception involves the following:

  • Consultant referral to admit the client in the inclient facility.
  • Accommodation Suite Selection.
  • Signing the Admission Conditions Form
  • Down Payment of the procedure's fees.

Emergencies


Any kind of identification is required when booking for an emergency appointment, preferably civil ID. If client has insurance then insurance card is required also.

Arrival In the Labor & Delivery Ward


What do you need to bring

  • All insurance papers in case you belong to an insurance company can contact our insurance dept in order to facilitate your admission procedure.
  • Your current medications in their original containers.
  • All the documents requested by the admission desk (civil ID , marital contract…)

What not to bring?

  • Person valuables and belongings: the hospital cannot be responsible for valuables that you keep in your possession. Leave all your jewelry, money (large sum) wallets at home for their safekeeping.

Suites and unit orientation

  • Admission staff will allocate the room.
  • All facilities and services for client convenience – telephone, television, and news paper are usually available at the hospital.
  • Instruction on use of bed, nurses call system and smoking policy will be explained by the Registered Nurse.

Home Medicines

  • Client will be discharged with proper discharge information. Home medicine and follow-up appointment and Home Health Care service will be instructed by the nurse.
  • Some of the nursing procedures, which the client may have to continue should be taught to her or her family members who will be caring for them at home.
  • The client should be given the explanations or instructions about his treatment, diet, exercises, medications, etc.
  • Instructions regarding further care, medication, treatment and follow-up should be clearly written and interpreted to the client and to his family members.

Visiting Hours

 

  • Royale Hayat Hospital knows how important it is to have family and friends play a part in the healing process. Exceptions to standard visiting hours can be made to accommodate what is best for each client.
  • Visitors may be required to leave the ward during ward rounds and client treatment.
  • - Only one visitor allowed at a time (LND)
  • People with colds and infectious diseases should not visit.
  • Children (age fourteen and older) may visit with permission of the nurse. Younger children will not be permitted.
  • Client sometimes feel that they are getting too many visitors. If there is a problem, then visitors should be restricted.
  • Surgical clients: only one person from family member is allowed in the room.

Client's Rights


You have the right to receive compassionate care regardless of your religious belief, your race, your culture, your values, your gender or your political beliefs.

  • You have the right to receive efficient and understanding care from all the hospital staff.
  • You have the right to ask any question and to receive any information you desire.

The patient has the right to receive information from the physician that is necessary to give informed consent prior to the start of a medical procedure and/or treatment. Information for informed consent should include a description of the specific procedure and/or treatment, risks involved, alternatives, the expectations for a successful outcome, and the probable duration of incapacitation.

  • You have the right to know who is treating you and to receive necessary information to understand your medical problem and to be included in any decision concerning your care.
  • You have the right to total confidentiality concerning your medical record.
  • You have the right to privacy in all aspects of your care.
  • You have the right to receive visitors according to the hospital visiting policy. \
  • You have the right to have your pain properly and adequately assessed.
  • You have the right to leave the hospital, against your consultant's advice and with some exceptions, but you will be asked to sign "a discharge form on your responsibility" and the consultants will not be responsible for any harm that may result.

Patient Responsibilities

 

  • To provide information about your health, including past illnesses, hospital stays and use of medicine.
  • To ask questions when you do not understand information or instructions.
  • To tell your doctor if you believe you cannot follow through with your treatment.
  • To follow hospital rules and regulations affecting patient care and conduct.
  • To be considerate of the needs of other patients, staff and the hospital. This includes controlling noise, smoking and the number of visitors.
  • To provide information about your insurance and to work with the hospital to arrange payment, when needed.
  • To recognize the effect of lifestyle on your personal health. Your health depends not just on your hospital care, but also on the decisions you make in your daily life.

Safety Privacy Issues


Royale Hayat Hospital staff are aware of and understand the hospital policies regarding the security of personal health information, including the policies relating to the use, collection, disclosure, storage and destruction of personal health information.

We are required by law to maintain the privacy of the customers' health information and provide them with notice of our legal duties and privacy practices as we will not use or disclose the medical information without our customer's authorization in writing.
